Horse Painting
I need tips for painting a horse trailer?
I would like to paint my steel horse trailer. What is the best type of paint to use? Is there a certain size of spray gun or air compressor required?
I also need to seal the seams on the roof of the trailer. Is there a certain type of caulk that I should use?
I know I won’t get a professional-looking job doing it myself, but I can’t afford to have it professionally painted. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated!!
Sand it down and use a body filler on the seams. Make sure it is very clean and primer it about three quick coats. Sand it down a bit to make sure it is smooth and paint it. Make sure you put a clear coat on it. It is not cheap even doing it yourself. I do my motorcycle and it still cost me $200. Look for a vo-tech school inthe area that does body work, sometimes you can get the students to do the work and just pay for the supplies. The work is good because it is for a grade. If you still want to do it yourself go to an auto paint store and tell them hat your doing they will help walk you through it. I did a trailer years ago. But it wasnt done right and peeled bad. My motorcycle looks awsome
