i have this huge canvas that i wanted to paint on..?

so i did but it ended up turning out HORRIBLE! so i decided to paint over the whole thing black and start over. well now when i paint on it, the black comes through. its like the canvas is so smooth the paint doesnt set on it. is there anything i can buy to put over or onto the canvas that will not make the black show through. or is there a certain paint that i could use? please help! this canvas is huge and i would HATE to just waste it :[

Listen, I know what you gotta do. Trust me. if the black comes through, well. PAINT IT ALL WHITE. paint over the black. make shure there’s an even layer of paint. I’ve done this many and many and many of times. Don’t worry, you wont need to waste it. good luck.
